Valentine's Day

This one of the movies(another one is Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief that I've watched on last sunday (14 Feb 2010). Feeling awkward to watch romantic Valentine's Day movie on Valentine's day celebration among thousand of couples(hiperbola). I think (actually it is the fact, not what I am thinking of), I am the only one who is not come with partner (nak buat macam mana,orang tak ada bf..so kesian..haha).

Valentine's Day is a story that happened on valentines day to all the characters, which almost of them is relates to each other (friend, mother, teacher, customer etc.). This movie is about two friends who just realizes that they are love each other after both of them broke up with their partner, it is also about a woman that hates valentines but manages to get her valentines and love among teenagers (as usual,like me!haha), older people (atok dan nenek) and kids, plus few more story (kalau nak tahu lagi, kena pergi tengok ok).

Percy Jackson and The Olympians : The Lightning Thief~

This movie is about Percy Jackson who just discover that he is the son of Poseidon. He is suspected of stealing the lightning bolt that belong to Zeus. The lost of lightning bolt will causing the war between the Greek gods. Percy with his two friends, Grover (Satyr, half human and half god as the protector) and Annabeth(daughter of Athena) is trying to find Hades as Hades was kidnapped his mother (Hades kidnap his mother because he think that Percy is the lightning bolt thief and want Percy to return the lightning bolt as the exchange for his mother) to explain that he is not the thief and want Hades to release his mother. Percy was succeed to release his mother from Hades with assistance of Persephone (Hades's wife).

Poseidon - Sea God in Greek Mythology and brother of Zeus and Hades. He was considered responsible for shipwrecks and drownings.

Zeus - King of the Gods and the ruler of Mount Olympus (in Greek Myhtology). He was the god of sky and thunder (sebab tu lah dia ada lightning bolt!). He is the youngest brother of Poseidon and Hades.

Hades - in Greek Mythology, he is the God of Underworld. He is the eldest of Poseidon and Zeus.

Athena - god of civilisation, wisdom, strategy, strength and justice. She is the virgin patrons of Athens.

Porsephone - Queen of Underworld and wife of Hades. She is daughter of Demeter and Zeus.

Demeter - goddess who presided over grains, the fertility of the earth, the seasons and the harvest. She is mother of Porsephone.

p/s: this movie is quite interesting and enjoy to watched, especially for kids and teenagers (like me..haha). So, book your ticket now and enjoy the show! ^_^

wisdom teeth

Today I want to talk about Wisdom Teeth or in Malay is known as Gigi Bongsu.
Why did I choose this topic for this entry?this is because, I am currently suffering (x la suffer sangat sebab sakit sikit jer) of tooth ache because of my wisdom teeth is coming out. So,to my new wisdom teeth, welcome to the world!haha

For those who doesn't know what is the wisdom teeth actually, here is some info of wisdom teeth (some are from www.webmd.com).

What is wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth is are the third and final set of molars that most people get in their late teens or early twenties (normally 19-24 years old).

Normally, this wisdom teeth is not causing any pain if the teeth is health and properly aligned. This wisdom teeth will causes pain if the teeth is misaligned, entrapped in the gum/soft tissue or grow horizontally towards neighbor teeth. All of this can crowd or damage adjacent teeth, the jawbone, or nerves.

If you facing this problem and go to see the dentist, dentist will suggest you to do an extraction of the wisdom teeth. The dentist will X-Ray your teeth and will refer you to oral surgeon to decides how to remove the teeth. This teeth extraction is done to avoid more problems and pain.

I've read many blogs and web page about the problem, and many of them who have experienced this said that the removing wisdom teeth is not same as removing normal teeth because it will involves minor surgery and have to be done at the hospital(takutnya, hope gigi aku ni ok!huhu).

facts about cancer

I got this email of cancer's facts from my colleague at CP(Colgate-Palmolive). So,I am thinking of sharing this information as it is useful for us. Hope, we all can use this information as precaution to avoid this very dangerous disease.


AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINSIS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY ..

[Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins ]
1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.
(To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).)

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become purified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.
(Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life!)

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Boys Over Flowers

Geum Jan Di, an average girl which her family run a laundry shop. The drama begin when she manages to get a swimming scholarship to enter Shinhwa High School. Shinhwa High School is own by Shinhwa family. Gu Jun Pyo is a son of Shinhwa and member of F4 (Flower 4) with three another boys (Yoo Ji ho, Yi Jeong and Woo Bin). F4 is very popular and everybody especially girls seems to adore them. F4 love to bully everyone who not doing what they ask and Jan Di is one of the victim. But, Jan Di is so brave when she manages to fight Jun Pyo and its makes Jun Pyo to falling in love to her. This drama is about Jan Di's and Jun Pyo's love that had to face many obstacle that creates by Jun Pyo's mother and about friendship that shown by Ji Ho, Yi Jeong and Woo Bin.

The synopsis above is about Boys Over Flowers. This korean drama series is one of my favourite. Even I already know the story line and have actually watched the Japanese version(Hana Yori Dango) of this Boys Over Flowers but still love to watch this korean version. My friend(Linda) and me share the same view that this korean version is much more better than Japan or Taiwan version(one of the reason is the boys..so gorgeous!!).

Kekosongan malam tanpa si 'dia'

wah wah wah,Fazirah..ayat macam orang baru kehilangan kekasih! Tapi, sebenarnya Fazirah Hanem tidak kehilangan mana-mana kekasih mahupun insan tersayang kerana dia masih single and available!(sempat lagi buat promotion untuk diri sendiri..heesh.. desperate!). Tajuk di atas hanyalah untuk meng'hot'kan lagi entry kali ni..hehe,jangan marah.
Tapi,tajuk tu ada jugalah kena mengena dengan entry kali ni sebab aku memang terasa kekosongan pun. Selalunya setiap malam dari jam 8.30-9.30, aku akan habiskan masa aku depan tv untuk tengok cerita Boys Ove Flower (cerita korea,yang dibintangi Kim Hyun Joong) tapi sekarang drama bersiri ni sudah tamat. So,aku memang tak tahu nak buat apa selain 'online' ataupun tidur (pengganti drama itu pula memang tidak berjaya menarik perhatian aku,maybe sebab tiada HJ kot ;p)

Boys Over Flower


Tamat cerita tentang kesunyian aku tanpa BOF dan HJ. Sekarang aku nak cerita pasal lunch aku dengan Nad di MidValley dua minggu lepas. Actually, kami memang merancang untuk keluar lunch bersama setiap hari jumaat dan tempat yang paling hampir dengan pejabat kami adalah MidValley. Minggu pertama dan kedua internship kami, kami tiada peluang nak jumpa disebabkan jarak pejabat yang jauh (masa tu Nad still intern di Felda, KL dan aku di Colgate, PJ). So,bila Nad berjaya mendapat tempat di TM (Bangsar), kami ambil lah peluang ni untuk jumpa (10 minit jer Colgate ke TM kalau tiada kesesakan lalu lintas). Minggu ketiga internship adalah minggu pertama kami lunch bersama di MidValley. Tapi kami sempat lunch untuk setengah jam jer sebab Nad sudah menggunakan setengah jam sebelum itu untuk cari parking dan aku pula merayau seorang diri dalam MidValley (weekdays pun ramai orang di MidValley, pelik betul!*thinking*)
Minggu kedua,kami tukar plan. Aku naik teksi ke TM untuk amik Nad sebelum ke MidValley(jimat masa,tidak perlu nak cari parking). Disebabkan rancangan yang berjaya, kami sempat window shopping lagi(tengok jer sebab tiada duit nak beli,elaun belum masuk..dah la banyak sale!tragis jer rasa bila tak ada duit time sale yang bangat *sad*).
Lepas window shopping,kami makan di Big Apple Donuts dan Sushi King(banyak gila makan,lepas tu complain gemuk..Heesh!)
Lepas makan kami pun balik pejabat masing-masing. Aku sampai pejabat pukul 3.00 petang..buat macam ofis sendiri jer..hehe(bos tak ada sebenarnya,sebab tula berani ^_^)
